Finding Clarity

Claus has a remarkable ability to untangle thought patterns that you’ve unknowingly made far more complicated than they need to be. By the time I came to him, I had created countless theories about why I was suddenly going through such a difficult period.

Claus helped me step back and see the bigger picture. He asked a few simple questions that took me back to what was actually happening, instead of where my mind had led me. He demystified my experience, helped me see that what I was going through was completely understandable, and made the work ahead feel much more approachable.

Ever since our conversation, whenever I notice my mind starting to spiral into overthinking and analysing everything, I remember what Claus said. That conversation became a reference point that brought me back to the real reason I was struggling. I wasn’t dealing with countless hidden psychological problems. I was deeply stressed, completely exhausted, and the causes were, in reality, very tangible circumstances in my life, things that many other people would have found overwhelming too.

One of the greatest things Claus taught me was that it’s okay to be vulnerable. It’s okay not to be able to carry the weight of the world. And when you reach your limit, it’s okay to rest without feeling guilty.

I’ve always had a mind that works a little differently. I think differently and I approach life differently, and that’s always been true. After our conversation, I realised how much unnecessary suffering I had created by continuing to build theories about my mental wellbeing.

What I really needed was space to breathe. In many ways, I had been making it much harder for myself than it needed to be.

Thank you for bringing me clarity.

Living with More Honesty and Connection

After a turbulent end to an eight-year relationship, I knew I had things to look at in therapy. Patterns I didn't want to repeat. I'd never really done therapy before, and I'd always wondered what I wasn't seeing about myself. Claus helped me find out.

He helped me see how many false assumptions and restrictions I'd been living by in the way I related to others and to myself. I realised how much I'd been projecting my own insecurities, fears, and beliefs onto other people without even noticing - acting on the wrong assumptions, missing genuine connection, and missing the very thing I longed for, again and again.

Time after time, Claus helped me dismantle another false assumption. Each time, I was left feeling lighter and more energised, with the sense that life is much simpler than I'd made it out to be. I discovered that I have far more agency than I realised and that changing just a few things could lead to a life with much more integrity, honesty, and connection.

That's what I've started doing, and my life is full of colour now. Exuberant.

I owe a real part of that to Claus.

Eight months in, Claus is still a calibrating presence in my life, helping me live the life I truly want.

Feeling Safe to Be Myself

What I value most about working one-to-one with Claus is that I never have to worry about what comes out of my mouth. I don't feel judged by him in any way. That gives me the freedom to be completely myself.

His calm, accepting presence made it possible for me to access the wisdom in my own body in a way I hadn't experienced before.

Learning to Stay with Difficult Emotions

Claus has an extraordinary ability to hold space for me, allowing me to fully experience and explore my emotions without becoming lost in them. It's a combination of his profound calmness and gentleness, together with a genuine willingness to stay with me through moments that would otherwise have felt too difficult to bear alone.

Reconnecting with My Body

With Claus's support and the co-regulation of his calm presence, my nervous system settled enough for me to begin practising the simple exercises he suggested. That gave me the spark I needed to continue on my own and truly inhabit my body.

Claus helped me realise that the body is one of our greatest resources for processing and healing.
